It started with a simple question: “Why is selling household scrap still so unorganised?” While still in college, Pranav and Prashant noticed that families in Gurugram had no reliable, transparent way to recycle their everyday waste — paper, plastic, metals, and electronics were either hoarded or sold to unverified vendors at unfair prices.
What began as a small-scale experiment — collecting scrap from a handful of neighbours in Sector-9 — quickly proved that the demand was massive. Armed with nothing but a shared determination and a smartphone, the duo began building EcoDoor: a digital platform that could match households with verified, local scrap pickers at the tap of a button.
Today, EcoDoor operates as a hyper-local, community-first recycling platform, handling pickups across Gurugram with transparent weighing, fair pricing, and always-free doorstep collection. What sets them apart isn't just the technology — it's the conviction of two young founders who believe that sustainability should be effortless, not a luxury.
